We hope you all have gotten settled into your new apartment homes nicely. Each month Chelsie, the Leasing Specialist, tries to get a newsletter typed up and posted on the doors with information and exciting events that go on around the complex as well as at Kirkwood. Before she gets the first one out we wanted to send out a letter filled with some rules and reminders.

• Drugs and Alcohol

We are a DRY campus. This means that alcohol is NOT ALLOWED anywhere on our property. Individuals found in possession will be given a ticket and/or may be evicted. I realize a lot of you are out on your own for the first time and are in “college” so you intend on having a good time, but illegal activities will not be tolerated. If these are activities you partake in, we suggest you find another place to do them and please remember to be safe!

• Safety

Going along with the above section please be careful with whom you give your address. Please be cautious with the company you keep and whom you let into your home. To prevent break-in’s this year please remember to lock your doors and windows when you are not home. Do not leave your car unlocked or valuables visible to any outsider in the vehicle. Also, duplicate keys should NEVER be given to anyone not on your lease.

• Roommates

We have already this year received a surplus of roommate conflicts. Please remember that you are all at the age now where you should handle things like adults. We are here to provide you with housing, not to counsel each individual; however if there is a serious situation in which you feel your safety is at jeopardy, we will be more than willing to schedule a time for you to stop in and talk with us.

• Maintenance/Internet

If you have any maintenance issues that need to be reported please do so online using our resident portal. Simply click on the resident portal tab on our website (www.kirkwoodliving.com). I know many of you have had issues with the internet. Please be patient with us while we are trying our best to get a better, faster internet!

Enjoy the latest feature to our newly designed Kirkwood Courts and Campus View web site.  Scroll your mouse cursor over the various floor plans and click.  The floor plan selected will “pop up” for you to view and print.  It’s that simple.

The price listed is “By the Bed” and includes our ”Hassle Free Living” – ALL UTILITIES INCLUDED.  (Each person is individually responsible for their lease agreement and their monthly rent.)

The “Premium” units that are available at Kirkwood Courts feature all new flooring; wood laminate in the common area, tile in the bathroom and new carpet in the bedrooms.  A dishwasher has been added to the kitchen.  Ceiling fans are now installed in the living room and bedrooms.  A contemporary color had been painted throughout the apartment as well.

2 Bedroom (Upper): $395 per month – 12 month lease

2 Bedroom (Lower): $385 per month – 12 month lease

Kirkwood Courts

3 Bedroom – Standard: $335 per month – 12 month lease

3 Bedroom – Premium: $365 per month – 12 month lease

2 Bedroom – Standard*: $355 per month – 12 month lease

2 Bedroom – Premium*: $385 per month – 12 month lease

*Sample floor plan – 1 of 3 floor plans available.  Average square footage = 629.

Although things look similar on the outside, we’ve added several features for a new and improved site. It’s easier to use and best of all, it will give you all the information you need as a Kirkwood Courts and Campus View resident.

The new site will save you time, too! The student application form, roommate matching form, and residential application can all be completed and submitted online in a matter of minutes. The rider form can be printed from our website and mailed into the office.

We’ll also be updating the “News” section more frequently to give you the most up-to-date information about what’s happening in the apartment community.
